Our Products

The sample and label are fully embedded. The capsule dimensions ensure secure encapsulation, preserving sample integrity for analysis or long-term storage.

Sample and label are placed in this half capsule, pre-made from one of the 10 holes from the MicroCap.

4 STEPS TO FOLLOW

1.
2.

1. LABELING

Use standard 5 × 35 mm adhesive-backed label paper to record the sample ID code. Our kit also includes custom-size labels designed to match the dimensions of the Cap.1/2 wall.

1.

2. SAMPLE PREP

Prepare the epoxy resin of your choice, or use the resin included in the MicroCap Kit. For biological samples, use paraffin.

2.

Postition the sample to the top and center of the wall.

3.

Add a drop of cyanoacrylate adhesive to hold the sample in position.

1.

3. EMBEDDING

Prepare the Epoxy resin.

2.

Introduce the prepared Cap.1/2 inside the full holes of the MicroCap and cover it with epoxy resin.

3.

Prepare more half capsules. It is possible to embed 4 samples and produced 4 half capsules with one epoxy resin preparation.

4. POLISHING

Hand polishing can be done in few minutes.

2.

Sample is ready to be observed under the microscope.

Our Solution

DESIGN

MicroCap was designed for the efficient and standardized embedding of millimeter-sized samples.

STANDARIZATION

Thanks to the half capsule wall, samples can be aligned at the same height, making simultaneous polishing easier and preventing over-polishing.

SAVE POLISH TIME

Samples are located at 3mm from the surface for fast, precise polishing. A guide line shows the sample's depth to control polishing or cutting.

GREEN FRIENDLY

The compact capsule size minimizes resin use, reducing costs and waste. With just a few milliliters, you can embed 4 samples and create 4 half-capsules for future use.

Easy of use & traceability

The built-in label space ensures clear sample identification. The embedding process is simple and can be performed with basic lab equipment or using our kit.

Preserves biological samples

MicroCap allows biological samples to be encapsulated in paraffin for study or storage.

WORKSHOPS

We offer workshops on light microscopy sample preparation in academic conservation schools, museums and research institutions.

Prepare the epoxy resin of your choice, or use the resin included in the MicroCap Kit. For biological samples, use paraffin.

For more information about these workshops, please contact us! We can design the workshop based on your audience and needs.
